Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Applied

You will be asked for a copy of your CV and basic details
(Don't worry you won't have to write war & peace)

Stage 2

Review

At this stage your application will be reviewed by the recruitment team and more importantly will be reviewed by the hiring managers themselves!
Stage 3

Initial Screening Call

At this stage you could be invited to attend a 10-15 minute introductory screening call over MS Teams - there will normally be one hiring managers attending. 
  • Assess, communication skills, high-level experience before investing your time in a full portfolio review.
  • Any initial questions from the you.
Stage 4

Portfolio and skills interview

At this stage you could be invited to a more in depth final stage portfolio review interview which could have a few people on the panel - don't worry though we don't bite!
  • In person interview at CDL with hiring manager, product designers and internal comms manager.
  • To evaluate technical skills, creative thinking, and strategic approach.
  • Walk through portfolio: 3-5 projects to showcase:
  1. Brand identity work. 
  2. Motion graphics and digital campaigns. 
  3. Any AI-driven creative examples.
  4. Discussion on the scope and impact of the Senior Creative role in CDL
  5. Opportunity for you to ask questions

Stage 5

Formal Offer

Congratulations - At this stage you could be made a formal offer!
Stage 6

Background Checks

At this stage we will instruct a company called Zinc to perform background checks (Last 3 yrs working and living history plus a Credit Check will be performed)

Stage 7

Hired

Congratulations! Welcome to CDL!
You will be sent an onboarding invitation email and your journey with the CDL family begins!
